Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th, 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. She was raised by an aunt who worked as a housewife and a father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick began singing and performing in the early years of her life. After winning the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting involved in the industry of entertainment. Her first major role came during 1964, which was when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the main character in the play Wind It up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected out of a crowd of over 1500 children who had auditioned to be the youngest of three daughters towheaded on the brand new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The five-year run of The Brady Bunch was an enormous great success. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season, she was close to losing her virginity to her screen co-star and brother Barry Williams. The time was when she was 16 and he was 19. The incident would have happened as she describes. However, the timing for our marriage was not the right one.
